Hi there! My name is Alexis Skopos, and I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida specializing in Brainspotting therapy, life transitions, and supporting first-time therapy clients, including those from the Greek American community. I have been described as having a 'full personality,' using humor, compassion, and a bit of challenge to help you reach your therapy goals!

I graduated from Stetson University with a bachelor's in psychology and a master's in clinical mental health counseling. I hold certifications in various Brainspotting practices, trauma-informed CBT, trauma-informed ACT, Gottman couple's counseling, and Prepare/Enrich. My experience spans across residential units, crisis units, high schools, child welfare, and methadone clinics.

I am incredibly passionate about providing LGBTQIA community support, engaging with the sex-positive community, advocating for body acceptance, and supporting domestic violence survivors. My open-minded approach drives me to go the extra mile in educating myself about multicultural informed care.

In my free time, I enjoy candle making, creating resin art, experimenting with different makeup styles, and collecting tattoos—I have over one hundred! I cherish self-expression and the celebration of originality. I strongly believe in the power of creativity, whether through music, art, dance, writing, or any activity that brings joy. I find immense happiness and inner peace in using my imagination, which is why I love playing with dogs, enjoying games, swimming, and visiting state springs. Additionally, I enjoy collecting plants, designing new things, laughing with friends and family, and seeking new adventures.
